Who we are

Swift Aero Maintenance Limited is the data controller for this website. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 15937541. Our registered office is 163 Francis Road, London E10 6NT, and we work from Shackleton Hangar, Sywell Aerodrome, Sywell, Northampton NN6 0BN.

What we collect

We collect what you type into the contact form:

• your first name and last name
• your email address
• your phone number, if you give one
• your company or organisation, if you give one
• where the aircraft is
• the aircraft type and registration
• which service you are asking about
• the message you write

Our web server also records the technical data every web server records when a page is requested: the IP address the request came from, the time, the page asked for, and the browser and operating system reported by your device. We use that to keep the site running and to spot abuse. We do not use it to build a profile of you.

There is nothing else. This website has no account area, no newsletter sign-up and no tracking pixels.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use what you send to answer your enquiry, to price the work, and to keep a record of what was asked and what we said.

Under the UK GDPR we rely on two lawful bases:

• Article 6(1)(b), steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, where you are asking us to quote for or book work on an aircraft.
• Article 6(1)(f), legitimate interests, where you are asking a general question. Our interest is in replying to people who get in touch, which is also why you contacted us.

We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell them or pass them to anyone else for their marketing.

Who else sees it

Only the people who have to:

• Beloved Websites builds and hosts this website and handles the contact form for us, so a form submission passes through their system before it reaches us.
• Our email provider delivers the notification to us and carries any reply we send you.
• Cloudflare sits in front of the site as a content delivery network and security layer, so it handles the technical data described above.

Each of these acts as our processor: they may use your details only to provide their service to us. Some of them run servers outside the UK. Personal data may only leave the UK under the safeguards that UK data protection law allows.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence for 24 months from our last contact with you about it, then delete it. Where the details become part of a maintenance record we are obliged to keep, that record is kept for as long as the rules covering it say.

Cookies

This website sets no analytics or advertising cookies. Our CDN provider may set a strictly necessary cookie to protect the site from automated abuse.

You can block or delete cookies from your browser settings at any time.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right of:

• access — ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• rectification — ask us to correct anything wrong or incomplete
• erasure — ask us to delete it, where we have no reason to keep it
• restriction — ask us to stop using it while a question about it is settled
• objection — object to our using it under legitimate interests
• portability — ask for the details you gave us in a common machine-readable file

To use any of these, email enquiry@swiftaero.co.uk and say which one you want. We will answer within one month, and we do not charge for it. We may ask you to confirm who you are first, so that we do not hand your data to someone else.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, tell us and we will try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator for data protection, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. You do not have to come to us first.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will rewrite this page and change the date at the top.
